Valdepeñas is situated in the Castilian plateau, 60 km far from Ciudad Real and 200 from Madrid and Cordoba. Nowadays there are 27.000 inhabitants. 

Valdepeñas is famous because of its high quality wines produced by its almost 30.000 hectares belonging to the Valdepeñas Apellation of Origen, where more than 4.000 grape growers and an important number of wineries take care of the final product.
